www.Guide2MarketingSuccess.com Lawren discusses the problems within the economy; in particular, the job layoffs in the technology industry. Lawren, who is currently working as a senior software engineer, shares her experiences in being downsized. Silicon Valley is seeing pink. Hit by turmoil in the financial markets, general economic decline, and slowing sales, the tech sector is expected to follow Wall Street with its own mass layoffs. Rumors abound that AT&T, Yahoo, and Ebay will together release thousands of workers into the unemployment pool. Those will add to the mounting figures: Earlier this year, Sun Microsystems let up to 2500 employees go; Nortel is cutting 2100 jobs; Hewlett-Packard will reduce staff by nearly 25000 following its acquisition of Electronic Data Systems; and even Google got into the game with the shedding of 300 jobs at DoubleClick. According to the San Jose Mercury News, there are around 1417000 people out of work in California alone. That’s up 413000 from this time last year. Today Alley Insider posted an anonymous tip that Yahoo! will soon be axing 3500 jobs. Yahoo! has been in a five-year stock slump and is down 8 percent so far today. Its third-quarter earnings come out October 21 for investors to see whether rumors of cost cutting through layoffs are warranted. There’s also talk that eBay is planning on scaling back its workforce by 10 percent, roughly 1500, as reported by Barron’s. The online auctioneer has been taking heat from users over …

One of the most historic sites on Whiskey Row, the Hotel St. Michael is the cornerstone for the northern end of the block. Opened on June 1, 1901 the hotel is said to represent the “coming of age of Prescott’s hostelries. Built of brick and stone, it is decorated with stone faces or ‘gargoyles’ which allegedly represent crude images of local politicians.

Photos from my morning walk Sunday morning – on my way back to the family now, via Granite Creek Park: The main entrance for this park is from 6th St. (running parallel to Montezuma St. on its eastern side), or it can be accessed from the Depot shopping center at Sheldon & Montezuma Streets (right next to our hotel).

When exploring on foot you can see a lot of the very old and run-down Prescott homes which have fallen in disrepair – like this one. They are so, so close to downtown Prescott I suspect their owners are holding out for the right price or for commercial zoning. This one surprised me: I was sure it was abandoned, but there were three new cars in the driveway, and the back portion of the home was lit up and active.

In simple words its the synonyms of vote. Back link is an incoming link to a website or web page from another website or web page. A back link is also known as inbound links, in-links, incoming links and inward links. Search engines use a number of criteria for ranking websites. No one can say exactly how the search engines weigh their criteria, since the search engines protect this information as a trade secret. Search engines want to see your back links increase over time, not diminish. So if you suddenly decide to discontinue your back link purchases, you could potentially get penalized by the search engines. Search engines consider the quality of the back link that is pointing to your website. Here are some considerations. Search for website directories and submit your website to be posted on their directories. There are tens of thousands of online directories you can submit to, many of which are free. Search engine Marketing is one of the best ways of attracting the visitors to any site. To implement a successful SEM campaign, one needs to understand the reason through engines such as Google or Yahoo. Search engines love content that has been search engine optimized , or SEO d. However, the search engines will only give you good rankings if the content has been written in a way that both people and search engines will be able to read it. Search engines are becoming better at detecting paid links and are making requirements of specialized no follow tags to be placed …
